ABOUT LITTLE MAGNOLIA

Hello! My name is Courtney Jacobs and I am a doula living in Northern BC, serving Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge, Fort St. John, Grande Prairie, and surrounding areas.

I started my Doula training in April of 2022 and since then have been certified as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Lactation Educator with an Advanced Lactation certificate, and as a Childbirth Educator.

I have a certificates in Perinatal Nutrition, Prenatal Yoga, and finally, in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Birth workers. Most recently, I am on the BOD for the Doula Services Association of BC as one of two Northern Representitives!

Before starting my Doula schooling, I was a stay at home mom to my son who was born in 2021, and before that, graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Science with a major in Microbiology from the Univeristy of Victoria in 2018.

I offer personalized birthing support, and my main goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, labor process, and what to expect postpartum. I feel honoured to be able to share my expertise with women and families around Dawson Creek. I approach birth holistically, and provide physical and emotional support during labour. My role is to act as an advocate for the birthing woman and her family.
